CV Wallet is an open skill-based hiring platform that for the first time brings jobseekers, employers and assessors together to enable sourcing of skilled labor at a scale and in a manner that is fit for purpose in today’s world of work. CV Wallet is utilizing the latest web3 and AI(Artificial Intelligence) technology to power its mission of creating a fairer, more efficient and trusted hiring ecosystem.
The firm prides itself in bringing the CV(Curriculum Vitae) out of the dark ages and onto the users’ mobiles phones and revolutionizing the way people store, verify and share their credentials inn the world’s first decentralized CV Wallet. Users simply need to download the free CV Wallet app onto their devices, create a smart CV and get fast-track to their next job offer.
CV Wallet has recently announced that it had raised $1.1 million in an undisclosed funding round. The funding in this round was acquired from numerous angel investors and took place in a period of just 2 weeks. The round was oversubscribed and showed a lot of interest from investors leading to its early closure. The round was supported by a small number of angel investors who had previously invested in clickIQ – the programmatic recruitment advertising startup. ClickIQ was the earlier venture of CV Wallet founders, Richard Collins and Beverly Collins. The firm has managed to complete the funding event despite the current tech funding crisis. The US-based firm has consequently attained a $7 million pre-revenue valuation.
The firm now has plans to expand CV Wallet. By bringing its team in-house, the firm has plans to utilize the new funding to further CV Wallet’s development in jobseeker tools as well as rapid development of its employer products and assessment provider partnership program.
According to Richard Collins, the speed at which the firm has secured funding indicates the scale of the problem that it is trying to solve. He also commented that the opportunity lies in being part of the solution as skill-based hiring will form a great part of the future. The framework creates transparency in that it allows employers to pick jobseekers based on their expertise rather than their background. In the new world of ChatGPT and a breakthrough in AI models that allow jobseekers to apply for jobs quickly, web3 technologies are needed to verify the contents of the CV’s and keeping the hiring process honest.
According to the firm’s online website, the CV was invented 400 years ago by Leonardo Da Vinci and since then it has changed a little since then but the world of work has fundamentally changed. CV Wallet is therefore set on a mission to upgrade it to fit the purpose of how people work today by offering smart CV tools to help users verify their skills, find their next job and keep their data safe.
