Opside is a blockchain scaling startup that offers a 3-layered decentralized architecture that is more secure. Opside platform operates a tighter whole while facilitating infinite scalability of the entire system by addition of an arbitrary number of rollups to layer 3. – a blockchain layer whose primary objective is to focus on achieving actual interoperability without relying on intermediaries, custodians or brokerages. Through the firm’s facilitation, users can use pre-deployed general purpose rollups or their own application-specific rollups that have native cross-rollup communication mechanisms backed by ZK(Zero Knowledge) proofs . The platform has recently embarked on building ZK-rollup as a service. This infrastructure operates on layer 3 and includes rollup SDKs for general-purpose and application-specific rollups as well as a native decentralized consensus for rollups, PoVP.
To support the development of cutting-edge layer 3 infrastructure to provide ZK-RaaS(Zero-Knowledge Rollups as a Service), the firm has recently secured $4 million in a seed fundraising round led by Web3.com Ventures and garnering participation from other eminent investors. ZK has of late received a lot of interest as it is an innovative solution that is cost-efficient in terms of money and compute power. It has the potential to reduce gas – the cost necessary to perform a transaction on a blockchain network. The funds obtained from this event will go towards helping Opside expand its ZKRaaS online platform. The firm’s unique ZK-rollup SDK(Software Development Kit) empowers developers to to build and deploy their applications on Opside layer 3 without the need to maintain any infrastructure on their part.
Apart from layer 3 applications, Opside also supports layer 1 and 2 applications. The Opside platform ensures consensus and data availability on layer 2 while hashing all transactions and generated data for storage on the Opside layer 2 chain. The layer 2 infrastructure on the platform provides rollup slots that enable unified smart contract entry for ZK-rollups. It also offers intuitive and practical cross-rollup communication as well as precompiled contracts to accelerate verification of ZK-proofs. On layer 1 infrastructure, the platform offers multi-chain bridges like trustless oracles that generate and transmit consensus proofs from layer 2 as well as ZK-Bridge that verifies and executes cross-chain transactions.
This combined approach opens up new possibilities for on-chain applications like games and social networks that normally require faster processing of transactions at low costs.
Nanfeng, Opside’s founder and CEO has expressed his gratitude to Web3.com Ventures and other investors for supporting the firm in making ZK accessible to applications of all sizes and users alike. The innovative solution is set to revolutionize the sector by providing high security, enabling infinite scalability and unlocking asset variety.
