Chip manufacturer to pump $100 Million into the Metaverse

American semiconductor manufacturer, Qualcomm puts aside 100 Million Dollars to focus on building extended reality-focused gaming, health, wellness, media and entertainment experiences.

The main technologies affected are Extended reality(XR), Augmented Reality(AR) and Artificial Intelligence(AI).This fund is dubbed SnapDragon Metaverse Fund after the Company’s snapdraon chips.

“Through the Snapdragon Metaverse Fund, we look forward to empowering developers and companies of all sizes as they push the boundaries of what’s possible as we enter into this new generation of spatial computing,” said president and CEO of Qualcomm Cristiano Amon.
